Poilievre “shocked, heartbroken and saddened” by Vancouver vehicle attack | FULL
Conservative Party Leader Pierre Poilievre said Sunday he is “shocked, heartbroken and saddened” following the Saturday attack at Vancouver’s Lapu Lapu festival in which a vehicle drove into the crowd, killing at least nine and injuring many more.
Poilievre called the incident a “senseless act of violence,” and said, “I just wanted to let you know that are hearts are with you today. All Canadians are united in solidarity with the Filipino community.”
Vancouver Police Department confirm that at least nine people are dead, including a child, and at least six others are injured following the attack.
A 30-year-old suspect, a Vancouver man, was arrested at the scene. Police say the suspect is known to them.
