Pope Leo watched film Conclave day before papal voting started, brother says | ITV News
For John Prevost, looking through the family photos has suddenly taken on new meaning. His brother, Robert, always showed an interest in the priesthood, John told ITV News US Correspondent Dan Rivers.
The man who has become Pope Leo XIV used to play at being a priest in first grade, making an altar table from the family ironing board and throwing a tablecloth over it.
Communion was given with sweets, but John says his little brother already knew the prayers even at that tender age, and was able to recite them in both English and Latin.
He told ITV News Pope Leo watched the film Conclave a day before he entered the Sistine Chapel.
With the new title as head of the Roman Catholic Church, John wonders if his brother will still have time to help him with odd jobs around the house.
