Pope Leo XIV meets with Volodymyr Zelensky following inauguration mass
Pope Leo XIV has vowed to work for community and peace in front of an estimated 200,000 people who attended his inauguration mass in St Peter’s Square.
After the celebratory communion, he went on to meet Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, one of a series of meetings with world leaders.
The Pope offered to help with negotiations with Russia at a private meeting, giving fresh hope to Ukrainians.
