The Queensland government has released new figures that it believes shows their tough youth crime laws are working, but hasn’t set a target on reducing victim numbers despite a pre-election pledge.
Opposition Leader Steven Miles says the data was “cherry-picked”, and Dr Terry Goldsworthy believes it’s too early to tell how effective the LNP’s ‘adult time, adult crime’ laws are.
