Presidency clarifies absence of Mcebisi Jonas in delegation to the White House : Khayelihle Khumalo
The Presidency has clarified why the special envoy Mcebisi Jonas was not part of the president’s delegation to the US.
The presidency says he was left out at his own request but he contributed to the preparatory engagements ahead of the meeting .
The presidency has also added that Mr Jonas has valid travel documents to the US.
Questions rose on whether he did not travel because of his views on the president of the United States, which have been critical. For reaction to the meeting between President Cyril Ramaphosa and President Donald Trump, I’m joined in studio by SABC News Reporter Khayelihle Khumalo.
