Princess Anne joins Channel Islanders celebrating 80 years of Liberation | ITV News
Channel Islanders have been marking the 80th anniversary of their liberation from Nazi occupation with celebrations and services. Princess Anne took part in the events — and read out a letter on behalf on the King.
The islands were the only part of the British Isles to be occupied during the war, and those who lived through it have been sharing their stories.
