“RAT Tax” | Birmingham Bin Strikes Could Last Until Christmas
Birmingham bin workers are threatening to strike up until Christmas over job cuts, leaving locals worried about a summer of overflowing rubbish, rats, and disease.
Talks with the council have collapsed, and workers say they’ll keep striking until their jobs and pay are protected.
The council is trying to manage by setting up drop-off points and says crews have collected over 21,000 tonnes of rubbish this month.
