Regional Australia ‘bears the burden’ of Labor’s renewables plan
Nationals Leader David Littleproud has criticised the Albanese government’s energy plan as regional Australia has to “bear the burden” of the approach.
The Albanese government is expected to reveal its 2035 climate target by September.
“We’ll have a look at … particularly how they’re going to achieve it,” Mr Littleproud told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell.
“What I just say to people in the metropolitan area is we’re being asked to bear the burden of this all-renewables approach; we are having prime agricultural land ripped up.”
