Rise of 'disrespectful behaviour' at pre-polling stations 'concerning'
AEC spokesperson Evan Ekin-Smyth discusses the “disrespectful behaviour” that has occurred at multiple pre-polling stations across the country ahead of the federal election.
“We’ve been concerned with some sort of disrespectful behaviour,” Mr Ekin-Smyth told Sky News host Steve Price.
“None of that is what you want to see at an Australian federal election which is actually quite famous for having a respectful community.
“Treat Australian democracy with passion … but treat each other with respect.”
