Rousseff thanks Xi for his support for New Development Bank
New Development Bank (NDB) President Dilma Rousseff thanked Chinese President Xi Jinping for his steadfast support for the institution during his visit to the NDB headquarters in Shanghai on Tuesday. During his visit, President Xi congratulated Rousseff on her reelection as president of the NDB, and called the bank “a pioneering initiative for the unity and self-improvement of the Global South.” During an interview with China Media Group, Rousseff hailed the meeting as a “great success,” emphasizing Xi’s crucial role in the NDB’s progress.
