Russia and Ukraine to swap 1000 prisoners
Ukraine and Russia have agreed to exchange 1000 prisoners as a confidence building measure after the first direct talks between the two sides in more than three years.
Speaking in Istanbul, the head of Russia’s delegation says he’s happy with the outcome but Kiev says Moscow’s negotiating demands were a non-starter.
Many in the Ukrainian delegation wore combat fatigues in contrast to the Russians wearing suits.
