SARS commits to improved revenue collection after R7.5 billion budget allocation: Edward Kieswetter
The South African Revenue Service (SARS) has been allocated an additional R4 billion over the medium term. This supplement the R3.5-billion that has been allocated in the 2024 medium term budget policy statement. Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana made the announcement yesterday when he tabled the 2025/2026 budget in Parliament. The allocations will also see SARS investing in new technology, data science and artificial intelligence to beef up its capacity to collect more money.
