Scientific discovery of liquid trees to replace greenery will remove pollution
A scientific breakthrough in Serbia could help reduce pollution concerns all around the world.
Head of Liquid 3 Team Dr Ivan Spasojevic has helped develop a clean energy project which is designed to replace the function of trees in heavily polluted urban areas where planting and growing real vegetation is not viable.
“They perform photosynthesis, they catch carbon … they can sustain a huge amount of pollution, they don’t care about carbon dioxide,” Mr Spasojevic said.
“A couple of these in a small area that has basically limited air flow would make a difference.
“Currently, the best impact would be in parking’s, maybe closed parking’s, or metro stations, because you cannot put any greenery there.
“Everything is fully functional, and it operates 24 hours a day all year round.
“In Australia, it could be completely self-sufficient.
Liquid 3 will thrive in confined spaces and areas impacted by council planning and regulatory restrictions.
