“Scuzz Nation” | New Term Describes Decline of British Towns
Talk’s Alex Phillips is joined by Gus Carter, deputy features editor at The Spectator, to discuss a new term that he has coined that is “Scuzz Nation”.
His definition of “Scuzz Nation” is, “A place that looks very much like the country of a few years ago, only worse. It’s a place where decay happens faster than repair, where crime largely goes unpunished and where the social fabric has been slashed, graffitied and left by the side of the road”.
Gus says, “Seven out of ten people think the country is getting worse.”
