Stats SA labour force report - Mathew Parks weighs in
Stats SA has released its latest labour force report – and it doesn’t look good.
Unemployment is up by 1% in the first quarter of this year, compared to Q4 in 2024 – taking the number of unemployed to 8.2 million, discouraged jobseekers up by 7 000.
