Stock theft on the rise in Eastern Cape
Eastern Cape farmers continue to battle the scourge of stock theft that has plagued the province over the years. According to the Third Quarter Crime Statistics, stock theft cases in the province increased by 10% between October and December last year.
Peter van Heerden from Ntabozuko outside East London is the latest victim of this criminal act. He’s counting his losses after the disappearance of over 140 of his cattle.
