Strikes across Gaza kill at least 92 people as Israel prepares to ramp up offensive
Israeli strikes across the Gaza Strip have killed at least 92 people, including women, children and two journalists, hospital officials said Wednesday.
At least 33 people were killed in two strikes on a restaurant and crowded market in Gaza City, medics and the Hamas-run health ministry said.
Those attacks followed a strike Tuesday night on a school sheltering hundreds of displaced Palestinians that resulted in 27 deaths. A strike on a second school the following day killed 16, hospitals said.
The Israeli military had no immediate comment on the strikes. It comes after Israel approved a plan to intensify operations in the Palestinian enclave, calling up tens of thousands of reservists to carry out its plan.
