Sunny Hostin blasted for claiming the United States is a 'misogynistic country'
‘The View’ co-host Sunny Hostin has come under fire for her reasoning as to why America has never voted for a female president.
During an episode on Thursday, Hostin boldly claimed Hillary Clinton and Kamala Harris were not elected because the US is a “misogynistic country”.
Hostin’s remarks came during a segment where the co-hosts discussed comments by Democratic Representative Jasmine Crockett.
During Crockett’s appearance on a podcast, she suggested the Democratic Party may steer clear of nominating another female presidential candidate.
Crockett’s claim follows the election loss of the last two female Democratic candidates, Hillary Clinton in 2016 and Kamala Harris in 2024.
The all-female panel then began a back-and-forth discussion about why no woman has been elected, before Hostin interjected.
“This country is a misogynistic country, and this country is a country that, out of all the first world countries, hasn’t been able to elect a female president. That’s just factual,” Hostin claimed.
