Sussan Ley’s leadership marks a ‘new era’ for the Liberal Party, says Jane Hume
Liberal Senator Jane Hume says the elevation of Sussan Ley to leader of the Liberal Party is “groundbreaking” and marks a “new era” for the party.
“This is a new era for the Liberal Party, bringing in not just a female leader, but a female leader with the experience and the capacity and the abilities of somebody like Sussan Ley,” Ms Hume told Sky News Australia.
“She’s had more than 20 years’ experience in the parliament and she has a team now behind her that are willing her, wanting her to succeed, because we know that a country runs better under a Liberal government.”
