Tanya Plibersek ‘loses’ as Anthony Albanese promotes close ally
News Corp Senior Writer Patrick Carlyon discusses the promotion of Senator Murray Watt to Environmental Minister and the demotion of Tanya Plibersek to Social Services Minister.
Mr Carlyon claims Prime Minister Anthony Albanese’s Labor ministry configuration is necessarily “merit-based”.
“It’s not surprising that Tanya Plibersek was one of the big losers if you like of the election in an internal set,” Mr Carlyon told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“Albo at the moment is in a position where he can promote and demote as he sees fit.
“He has such a mandate given the election result.
