Tariff ‘bullfight’ between the US and China may get ‘quite aggro’
IPA Senior Fellow and Chief Economist Adam Creighton says he is “not surprised” China is angry over Trump’s 145 per cent tariff on Chinese goods.
“I’m not surprised that they’re angry, I mean some of the language they use is quite amusing,” Mr Creighton told Sky News host Rita Panahi.
“We have a bullfight between the two biggest bulls in the world, and it could get quite aggro, let’s hope it never gets to a military point.
“On the trade front, there’s going to be a lot of tariffs slapped on either side.”
