It has been a month since the U.S. “reciprocal tariff” storm began. Beginning with April 2, the tariff war started by the United States has reshaped the country’s economy, with negative impacts being felt across various sectors.
CGTN Stringer took to the streets of New York, interviewing Americans from various professions and ages to get their thoughts on the current tariff policies. Banker Tim Wallace said customers will pay for the tariffs. Teacher Kateleen Mcdougal said the U.S. has transformed from a super-strong economy to one that is on the brink of disaster, calling it a self-inflicted wound.
