Now laid to rest, Pope Francis has been eulogised as a pope among the people, with an open heart towards everyone. His funeral mass brought together hundreds of thousands of mourners, ranging from refugees to royals. Indeed ashes to ashes, dust to dust is the saying for a time like this but importantly there are questions that hang over the future of the Catholic Church – the most important among them is who will be chosen to lead it next.
