Putin invited Ukraine to negotiate but didn’t confirm a truce. Western allies are pushing for a 30-day pause in fighting.
Zelensky’s aide said talks can only happen after a ceasefire. Putin suggested holding talks in Istanbul but gave no clear response on the pause.
Zelensky said, “The world has waited for this. The first step to end war is a ceasefire. No more killing—even for a day.”
