'This is Biden's stock market': Trump blames predecessor as recession fears grow
After the U.S. economy posted its first negative growth since the pandemic, President Trump took to social media to blame Biden for the downturn, writing: “This is Biden’s stock market, not Trump’s.” On Morning Joe, Sam Stein pointed out the contradiction, saying:
“It’s remarkable how when the market is doing well… it’s because of the anticipation of Trump’s greatness. And when it’s doing poorly, it has nothing to do with Donald Trump.”
