Three children killed in suspected drunk driving crash in Toronto
Three children died as a result of a two-vehicle collision in Toronto early Sunday morning. Police say a 19-year-old was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drunk driving.
The crash occurred just after midnight, at the Highway 401 eastbound off-ramp at Renforth Drive, Toronto police said, when a stationary car with six people inside was struck by another vehicle. Two children died at the scene while a third was rushed to the hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
A fourth child and two adults were also hospitalized.
The accused driver was the lone occupant of the second car. Global’s Caryn Lieberman has the story.
