Three killed and 12 injured after a bus crashed off a bridge near oThongathi
Three commuters have been killed and 12 seriously injured after a bus crashed off a bridge near oThongathi on the R102, north of Durban. The Road Traffic Inspectorate’s Sindi Msimang says the crash happened at 6h20 this morning.
Msimang says the cause of the crash is not known, but that the tyres of the bus appeared to be in good condition.
She says emergency services and traffic officials had to work under difficult conditions as the bus was lying on its side several metres down an embankment.
