    Catholics are faulting US President Donald Trump for insulting their faith after the White House and Mr Trump shared an AI-generated image on social media portraying President Trump as the Pope.

    Earlier in the week, President Trump joked he would like to be the next Pope after being asked who should succeed Pope Francis.
