Trump administration ‘eager’ to make trade deals and ‘declare victory’
Former US Treasury chief economist Ben Harris claims the Trump administration is “eager” to make trade deals amid impacts from tariffs.
“I think that they’re eager to make deals and they’re eager to make things which seem like deals,” he told Sky News Australia.
“They want to declare victory and they want to move away from this stagnation and trade – that’s just not good for the US economy, and I think that they’ve realised that.”
