Trump and Putin to be a no show for peace talks with Zelensky
Neither US President Donald Trump nor Russian President Vladimir Putin will be joining peace talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Turkey.
Putin decided to send a team of junior officials, which made the possibility of negotiations uncertain.
Former Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee chair Michael Danby calls it a “poor show” by him.
“This is Putin going a bridge too far for his own interest,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Caleb Bond.
“He challenged Zelensky to turn up.
“Trump’s going to realise Putin is playing him for a mug.”
