Trump confronts South African president over discredited 'genocide' claims in the country | ITV News
Donald Trump has confronted South African President Cyril Ramaphosa over discredited claims of a genocide of white farmers in South Africa.
During a live Oval Office meeting on Wednesday, the US president ordered a television to be brought in and the lights dimmed.
He then proceeded to show Ramaphosa clips of a documentary featuring South African opposition politician Julius Malema singing a song which includes the line “shoot the Boer”, which refers to white farmers.
