Trump faces backlash over Qatar gift
US President Donald Trump has announced a deal to sell Qatar up to 210 jet planes while the Qatari royals would gift him a $400 million aircraft.
Former Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee chair Michael Danby predicts Mr Trump is “going to” accept the deal.
“I don’t believe in going from people’s throats to their feet in one go,” Mr Danby told Sky News host Michael Danby.
“It’s not only aesthetically unpleasing, it’s politically dangerous.”
“I’m not sure that Donald is all that well informed about these kinds of modalities.
The plane is a really bad idea.
“Makes him look like a crook.”
