US President Donald Trump has joined world leaders in paying tribute to the late Pope Francis and ordered federal and state flags to be flown at half mast across the country. One of the last international officials to meet the late pontiff was US Vice-President JD Vance. Former US president Joe Biden, King Charles, Argentinian President Javier Milei and Buddhist leader Dalai Lama all sent messages to pay their respects to the late head of the Catholic faith.
