Trump, Musk hold joint press conference as Tesla CEO departs DOGE | FULL
U.S. President Donald Trump held a news conference with U.S. entrepreneur Elon Musk on Friday. The Tesla CEO is stepping down from his lead role at the so-called Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), where he was in charge of cutting federal spending.
Musk called time on his White House stint on Wednesday, giving Tesla investors a sigh of relief after shares slumped this year in part due to the backlash to his support of Trump and right-wing parties in Europe.
Earlier this week, Musk criticized Trum,p’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” saying it detracted from his efforts to shrink the U.S. budget deficit.
