Trump promises pay raises for US troops during air base visit in Qatar
U.S. President Donald Trump told American troops at Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar on Wednesday to expect substantial pay raises for service in the 2026 budget.
Trump also disclosed that Qatar will invest $10 billion in coming years in the Al Udeid Air Base, which is the largest U.S. military facility in the Middle East.
Trump later headed to the United Arab Emirates, where leaders are seeking U.S. help to make the wealthy Gulf nation a global leader in artificial intelligence.
