“Trump Said It’s Time To Pressure Putin” | Is The US President Turning On The Russian Leader?
Donald Trump has slammed Vladimir Putin’s intentions to end the Ukraine war after meeting Ukrainian President Zelensky at Pope Francis’s funeral.
Trump ranted that Russia’s latest missile strikes on Kyiv made him believe Putin was just “stringing me along,” and hinted at tougher sanctions ahead.
The pair had a 15-minute chat in St. Peter’s Basilica, with the White House calling it “very productive.”
Trump had earlier boasted that Russia and Ukraine were “close to a deal” after his envoy met with Putin, while the Kremlin insisted Putin was ready to talk “without preconditions.”
