Trump ‘surprised’ public wasn’t notified of Biden’s cancer diagnosis ‘a long time ago’
US President Donald Trump has weighed in on Joe Biden’s cancer diagnosis during a media conference on Monday, local time.
This comes after Mr Biden’s office revealed in a statement that the former president had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, which has spread to the bone.
President Trump initially responded in a social media post on Truth Social after the news broke, but has now made a public comment to the media.
“I think it’s very sad, actually. I’m surprised that … the public wasn’t notified a long time ago because to get to stage nine, that’s a long time,” he said.
“I think to get to a stage nine – I think that if you take a look, it’s the same doctor that said that Joe was cognitively fine, there was nothing wrong with him.”
