Limpopo police are searching for two armed suspects accused of breaking into multiple homes and committing rape, including against minors, in Hoveni village outside Tzaneen.
They raped four people, including children and assaulted other residents.
A 65-year-old man was shot and killed during the attack.
Police have established a multi-disciplinary task team to investigate.
