This was stated by military expert, former spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Seleznev for the channel "Fabrika Novostey" .<br /><br />In particular, he was asked if Ukraine received Taurus cruise missiles from Germany, would it be possible to destroy the Crimean Bridge with them.<br /><br />"Not anymore... If we had Tauruses in 2022, when the density of the air defense system in the area of the Kerch Bridge was somewhat less, there would have been such a chance of success. But now such a multi-level, echeloned air defense system has been created there that the chances of overcoming it are slim," Seleznev believes.<br /><br />At the same time, according to him, it is not a state secret that in April, Ukrainian forces attempted a large-scale attack on the Kerch Bridge with drones and ATACMS missiles, but this attack was unsuccessful.<br /><br />"Already at the approach stage, the lion's share of our assets were destroyed. Moreover, there was a combined attack then - from the air and from the water. Also, our (marine drones) SeaBaby and Magura worked on this section of the Ukrainian-Russian front. The enemy spent too many resources and had a lot of time to do this, so that now we have the opportunity to implement this case," Seleznev said.<br /><br />At the same time, he said that this does not mean that the Defense Forces are abandoning the option of destroying this bridge. He is convinced that Ukrainian forces will try to destroy the bridge again, but information about the means by which this will be done will not be reported until the corresponding attack takes place. He considers it obvious that the Kerch Bridge is a priority target for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.<br /><br />At the same time, Seleznev noted that today Crimea has become a new Chernobaevka for Russians.<br /><br />"Because that is where the "black hole" for the Russian air defense and missile defense system is now. We are automatically destroying their systems there. The enemy is bringing in new ones. We are burning them down as well. I think it is a matter of time before the Russian additional systems are exhausted, and only after that can we talk about finding the appropriate key to the ingenious lock that has been created around the Kerch structure," Seleznev is convinced.<br /><br />As reported, Chancellor Friedrich Merz said that Ukraine can count on the new German government in the matter of transferring Taurus cruise missiles .
