UN: Israel's new Gaza aid plan is a 'fig leaf' for violence and displacement
The UN’s Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Tom Fletcher on May 13 strongly criticized Israel’s proposed aid distribution model for Gaza, saying it excludes vulnerable groups, forces further displacement and sets a dangerous global precedent. He warned that the plan turns hunger into a bargaining chip and masks further violence under the guise of humanitarian relief.
