US consumer confidence has ‘absolutely tanked’ as result of tariffs
Westpac Chief Economist Luci Ellis says consumer confidence has “absolutely tanked” in the US.
Ms Ellis told Sky News Business Reporter Ed Boyd that US consumers have realised they will be paying “much higher prices” as a result of the tariffs.
“This is much more of a hit to the US economy than the rest of the world.”
