VE Day: UK prepares to mark 80 years since the end of the Second World War | ITV News
On the 8th May 1945 huge crowds took to the streets, to hear the news they’d long hoped for made official.
VE Day marks the moment allied forces accepted the German military surrender effectively ending the war in Europe.
And this year’s anniversary is a particularly poignant one.
