The Vietnam War devastated not only a country but also the lives of millions, both Vietnamese, and the U.S. soldiers who were sent to fight a war far from home. The documentary follows a group of elderly U.S. veterans on their return to the scene of a war that still impacts their lives. By telling their deeply personal stories – of a brother searching for answers, of soldiers haunted by their memories and of victims still suffering the effects of Agent Orange – the episode explores the continuing human cost of the Vietnam War half a century after it ended. It examines the deep scars it left behind on those who are returning not as soldiers, but as seekers of closure, of answers and of peace.
