Volodymyr Zelensky claims Ukrainian side wants to end the war but Russia ‘wants something’
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky claims his country is ready for an end to the fighting in the war against Russia.
He has thanked US President Donald Trump for his call for a complete ceasefire, but maintains Russia can’t be trusted.
“Russia is Russia – they want something, but they don’t even know what they want, and when they say they want something, they want everything,” Mr Zelensky said.
Following the call between the US leader and his Russian counterpart, Mr Zelensky outlined his country’s principles for an end to the war.
