Warragamba Dam approaching capacity as rainfall intensifies
The extreme weather system in New South Wales is currently making its way southward, posing fresh and renewed flood risks.
There are concerns that Sydney’s Warragamba Dam could spill over as it is now at 96 per cent capacity, with forecasted rain in the coming days potentially leading to an overflow.
The SES says the catchment is not a concern at the moment, however they are watching it.
