Overnight, Israeli airstrikes killed 80 Palestinians, including 22 children, according to hospitals in Gaza.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said the strikes were targeting Hamas leader Mohammed Sinwar and promised an escalation of force.
Meanwhile US President Donald Trump, who was not so far away in the Gulf, barely mentioned Gaza or a ceasefire during his latest stop in Qatar.
A local cameraman working for ITV News filmed the aftermath in Gaza as more bombs fell.
