We hit guns and destroyed columns. There was a lot of work, so they were looking," soldier Igor told Radio Liberty about the work of the brigade.<br /><br />"Right now we are mostly conducting assaults. We are helping our guys to go further into the Belgorod region," added his brother-in-arms Vladislav.<br /><br />The fighters said that they left the Kursk region because it was no longer possible to remain there.<br /><br />"Our cannon was destroyed, and so we had to leave there. And then they were supposed to install another cannon, but the authorities said that was it, we were looking for a place on our territory," Vladislav recalls.<br /><br />The military said that there was only one road leading to Ukrainian military positions in the Kursk region. Russian troops took control of it with drones. Any attempt to deliver ammunition, water, food or reinforcements turned into a game of death.<br /><br />"They simply took control of the road - and that's it. And they simply destroyed everyone who passed by. Those who managed to get through, and those who didn't - they immediately burned there," said the Ukrainian defender.<br /><br />Nevertheless, the operation in Kursk region, according to the Ukrainian military, was successful. The participation of DPRK soldiers in the battles was especially memorable.<br /><br />"They were coming in large groups, working on them. They said that we had "beaten up" a lot of Koreans, because the Russians did not feel sorry for them. They simply abandoned them. A group was really coming - and not just some kind of landings, they were simply walking. Here is snow - we were there in winter - and they were simply walking in a herd. Like cows grazing in a village, so they simply walked towards our landings. They did not know that the shells were exploding and they would be killed," the soldier said.<br /><br />The Ukrainian military had not yet managed to completely leave the Kursk region, when they immediately began raids into Belgorod. Russian troops did not expect such a maneuver. Moreover, the Ukrainian military suddenly covered a large distance.<br /><br />The military said that in light of what is happening, the military is also discussing ceasefire negotiations. And although opinions differ, the military agrees that the Kremlin cannot be trusted.
