Western Cape | Suspect in court for alleged rape of 9-year-old girl
Members of the Hanover Park community in Cape Town are demanding that convicted child sexual offenders not be granted parole. This as a 58-year-old accused, appeared briefly at the Wynberg Magistrate’s Court in Cape Town, on charges of kidnapping and raping a nine-year-old girl. The girl, who was reported missing on Tuesday, was found in the accused’s house. Police say he was recently paroled after serving a 20-year sentence for raping a ten-year-old child.
