‘What did he expect?’: Alec Baldwin's Rust faces box office flop after tragic production
‘To Di For’ podcast host Kinsey Schofield reacts to the poor box office performance of Alec Baldwin’s film ‘Rust’ which earned just $25,000 during its limited theatrical release.
The Western film has faced ongoing controversy since October 2021, when cinematographer Halyna Hutchins was tragically killed after a prop gun held by Baldwin discharged on set.
“What did he expect? This was a horrible experience on this set and then continuing to do the movie,” Ms Schofield said.
“The director, who was also shot, said that he wishes they hadn’t continued with it, and I think that this is a great example of why they shouldn’t of.”
