When Mark Carney served as governor of the Bank of Canada
Mark Carney was elected prime minister on April 28 in part based on a pitch to voters that he knew how to manage a crisis. He developed that reputation in some corners due to his handling of the 2008 financial crisis while he was governor of the Bank of Canada.
In 2008, he sat down with CBC’s Peter Mansbridge, who asked, of all the numbers, which meant the most to him.
